Veterinarians
Dr. Nick Luke graduated from KSU CVM in 2010 with his DVM. His interests include both large and small animal medicine. He enjoys performing surgery and solving herd health problems. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, and watching/coaching kids’ sporting activities.
Nick Luke, DVM
Dr. Melissa Luke graduated from KSU CVM in 2010 with her DVM. Dr. Luke enjoys equine medicine, dentistry and theriogenology. Her and her husband, Nick, have 4 children, 2 dogs, and 2 horses. She also shares her office with the clinic cow, Boreo the Belted Galloway, as well as a handful of clinic cats. Her hobbies include shuttling kids around and reading.
Melissa Luke, DVM
Dannell Kopp, DVM, MS
Dr. Dannell Kopp graduated from KSU CVM in 2025 with her DVM and Masters Degrees in 2025. Dr. Kopp’s areas of interest include cattle work and feedlot consulting and economics. On the weekends, she helps her family back home in Fairview, KS with their large cow-calf/feedlot/row-crop farm. Her hobbies include cooking/baking, reading, and gardening.
Kyndall Neal, DVM, MS
Dr. Kyndall Neal graduated from KSU CVM with her DVM and Masters Degrees in 2024. Dr. Neal enjoys large animal obstetrics and neonatal calf medicine. Dr. Neal and hear husband, Derek, also run a small cow-calf operation with her family in Riley, KS. They have dogs, cats, and horses at home as well. Her hobbies include cooking/baking and crafting.
Dr. Abby Ware graduated from KSU CVM in 2024 with her DVM. Dr. Ware’s areas of interest include small animal surgery/wound care and cattle herd processing. Her and her husband, Gabe, help run a family cow-calf operation in Longford, KS. They also have a collection of dogs, cats, donkeys and are expecting a baby boy in August 2026. Her hobbies include gardening and traveling.
Abby Ware, DVM
Makenna Keating, DVM, MS
Dr. Makenna Keating graduated from KSU CVM in 2025 with her DVM as well as a Master’s of Biomedical Science in 2026 researching feedlot cattle health. Dr. Keating areas of interest include both companion and food animal medicine. Her hobbies include traveling, hiking, and birdwatching with her husband.

Marci Siemers Veterinary Technician
Marci is a Clay Center native. Marci received her Veterinary Technician Degree from Colby Community College Tech program in 2015 and has been working here since. Marci and her husband Adam have 4 kids, 4 dogs, horses, cattle, baby lambs, and whatever she can bring home from the clinic.
Andrea Ohlde Veterinary Technician
Andrea graduated from Colby Community College Tech program in 2000. She brings extensive experience from working at other clinics from over the years. She has been with us since 2022. Her and her husband, Clayton, have 2 boys, 3 dogs, and raise cattle near Palmer, KS.
Lisa Stuenkel Veterinary Assistant
Lisa grew up in Palmer, KS and went to high school in Clay Center. After high school, Lisa pursued and graduated with an associates degree in Animal Science through Colby Community College. Lisa comes to us with a variety of experience including working as a milking assistant at a diary farm in Iowa, meat inspecting for the state of Kansas, and working as a veterinary assistant at another mixed practice facility. Lisa spends her time outside of work tending to her personal dogs, cats, and cattle.
Emma Smith Veterinary Technician
Emma grew up in Clay Center, working for multiple local clinics and local farmers along the way. After high school, Emma pursued her Veterinary Technician Degree at Colby Community College and graduated in 2022. She then went on to lead trail rides at White Stallion Ranch in Arizona. Emma has been with us since returning home in 2025.
Rileigh Schickel Office Coordinator
Rileigh comes to us from California. She brings experience in leadership, supervision, and medicine from previous jobs and her time serving in the U.S. Air Force. She is actively still serving as a flight medic in the Air Force Reserves. At home, Rileigh has 2 dogs, 2 cats, and an Amazon parrot.
Kaitlyn Prater Kennel Manager
Originally from Lyons, CO, Kaitlyn moved to Randolph, KS in 2014. After high school, Kaitlyn pursued her Bachelors in Animal Sciences and graduated from K-State in 2020. After graduation, she spent time at the Hill’s Pet Nutrition Center in Topeka working as an Animal Care Research Technician and then moved closer to work as a groomer in Junction City for awhile. She has been with us since early 2026.
We currently have 4 wonderful high school students working at the clinic after school and on weekends. They do all the behind-the-scenes work and are invaluable to our clinic’s operation. They are still in high school therefore their names will not be listed on our website.
Grooming
Marcel Benninga
Marcel started with the clinic in 1999. She has worn many hats such as groomer, technician, receptionist, etc. over the years. Her and her husband, Alan, have been married 28 years and have 2 dogs. She loves summer and spending time with family and friends. Her hobbies include aerial yoga and photography.
Arianna Riley
Arianna came to us in January of 2025 with years of experience grooming in Junction City. She started grooming when she was 19 in March of 2021 and has never put the clippers down! Arianna, her son, Atticus, and her partner, Jesse, have 2 miniature poodles and 2 American Bullies of their own at home that they love dearly. Outside of grooming, Arianna enjoys going to car shows, drawing, and singing!
